What an amazing ground. The surroundings are breathtaking and everything about this place is magical. The ground itself is also great with two nice stands and a beautiful natural grass pitch. I visited a match against top team Valur in the summer. The sun was shining, and it was definitely one of my best matches ever. On the pitch IBV had a good day and turned it around to a narrow victory, in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Hasteinsvöllur is definitely a must place bucket list ground for every groundhopper. I would also highly recommend a hike up on the surrounding rocky hills. It provides amazing view of the ground and the island. Heimaey is also a very nice town, with some great bars and restaurants. Be sure to spend a couple of days here, if you visit this very special place!
