When I visited JYSK Park, it was the newest stadium in the Danish Superliga. The stadium is located at the motorway, just outside the city center. It provides a large carpark so it was very easy for me when I arrived by car. Silkeborg IF is a traditional club and has a great record of developing young prospects. In recent years both Kasper Dolberg and Robert Skov have come through the youth academy.
Newly promoted Silkeborg IF was rock-bottom of the table before the match against Esbjerg. The visitors from the west was second to bottom, and having an awful season. A lot on stake in this match, neither of the teams could afford to lose this match.
Silkeborg went in front through a goal from the star striker Ronnie Schwartz. In the second-half Esbjerg fB stepped up and turned the match around. In the end it was a deserved victory for the harbor boys. Not a very large attendance, but good atmosphere and noise from both sets of fans at JYSK Park. Silkeborg is a very friendly place and JYSK Park provides a very good view experience wherever you sit or stand. Don’t hesitate to make the trip!
