This was my first ever match in Estonia. Hiiu Stadium is situated in the Nõmme area, just south of the capital Tallinn. On this beautiful summer day reigning champions (2018) Nõmme Kalju FC welcomed the visitors from Paide. Both teams are small clubs, but Nõmme Kalju FC has experienced some major success in recent years. Hiiu Stadium is probably the smallest Premiership ground I have ever visited in any country. The stadium has a small stand on one of the sidelines, but no seats.

Both teams had singing fans and even though it was just about 400 people on this 1. tier match, the atmosphere was quite good! The quality on the pitch varied greatly. The visitors went in front in the first-half, while the hosts came strong after the break. In the end it ended a draw, which was probably a fair result. All in all, it was certainly a nice experience at Hiiu Stadium.
