Karlstad Fotboll is about to move to their new stadium in 2022, so I had to grab a match at Tingvalla Ip before it was demolished. It was a cold autumn Sunday as I made my way to Karlstad, the main city in the Värmland region. Tingvalla IP is an old stadium with a record attendance of more than 10.000 back in 2000, when they played Italian Lazio in a friendly.
When I visited, it was peoples-day with free entrance. Therefore an unnormal high attendance for a third tier match. It was also a good showing from the Dalkurd away supporters. On the pitch, the hosts finished it off with eight great minutes before half-time. A good match of football and a nice atmosphere.
