Örjans Vall is a classic old-fashioned stadium, situated in central Halmstad. From my hotel, I made the walk along the river Nissan to get to the stadium. The stadium sits on the western shores of the river and is easily accessible from all directions. The weather was nice, but temperature close to the breezing point. It was going to be a cold, but exciting night. The season was into the final stages and both teams had a lot to play for. The hosts fought hard to avoid relegation, while Hammarby was still in the mix for the medals.
Both clubs worked hard on the pitch, but lacked attacking quality. For Halmstads BK this had been the case for the most of the season. They very often created enough chances, but could not convert them. In the end the hosts were the better side, but it ended goalless. A point was not enough for either side, so both sets of fans went home from Örjans Vall disappointed.
