Beautiful located ground just north of the city of Värnamo. The stadium is surrounded by the river Lagan on three sides, and there are bridges you have to cross to enter the stadium from these sides! An old stadium, but with plenty of charm. Not much has changed here for the past 30 years. IFK has several times tried to build a new stadium, but every time they have ran into problems.

I visited Finnvedsvallen for the match against the reigning champions Häcken. It was a sunny summer afternoon and the hosts was definitely the underdogs. It turned out to be very entertaining, as both clubs went for the three points. We had to wait beyond the 90 minutes to get the decider. And it was Simon Thern, son of more famous Jonas, that scored the winner in added time. His first goal after returning home to his childhood club! Watch my interview with Simon after the match.
