Ljungskile is a small village along the E6 road, just south of Uddevalla. Compared to the size of the place, the ground is very big, but this club has a rich history. There has even been played Allsvanskan football at Skarsjövallen, not too many years ago. The ground has a nice old seated stand on one side, and a massive standing and seated stand on the oposite side. Perfect natural grass and a local and very friendly atmosphere.
I visted for the match against the somehow bigger stature club Jönköpings Södra. Afer a poor start to the season, both clubs were sitting in the lower parts of the table. Points were massively important, but the lack of quality on the pitch were obvious. After a late goal for the hosts in the end of the first-half, the second-half got a lot more entertaining. In the end, a draw was probably a fair result. At one point, the visiting supporters got extremely frustrated and invaded the home-stand. Fortunately it cooled down pretty fast!
