This is certainly a classical local derby in Buskerud, Norway. Ælv Classico Strømsgodset – Mjøndalen, translated “The river classic”, is a derby between Strømsgodset from Drammen and their neighbors from Mjøndalen. Some 10 km. separates the two stadiums. Both cities lies along the river Drammenselva. Great atmosphere at a packed and sold-out Marienlyst Stadium in Drammen for this highly intensive derby.

Mjøndalen shocked the hosts and started very aggressive. Throughout the first half they clearly were the better side and brought a 3-1 lead into the half-tie break. However, Strømsgodset came back strong after the break and pulled one back midway through the second half. At the end the hosts pushed for an equalizer and they came very close when Mos hit the bar deep into added time. It was certainly a very good Ælv derby, where the guests from 3050 could celebrate in the end.
