Molde moved from the old Gamle Molde Stadion to Aker Stadion back in 1998. The new stadium in Molde is one of the most beautiful located stadiums in Norway. Great location in the harbor area of Molde, with stunning mountains in the horizon. When I visited Molde, the covid pandemic was still ongoing and therefore a lower attendance than normal. But it was a beautiful September evening and during the match we also experienced an amazing sunset. After a short walk from my nearby hotel, I was ready for the match between two of the top sides in Norway.

Molde and Viking are a match between two of the most traditional clubs in Norway. Even though Molde were firm favorites, the match proved to be an even contest. After some three minutes fireworks with three goals midway in the second-half, it ended a draw. In the end that was probably a fair result at Aker Stadion
