Fram is building a brand-new state-of-the-art sports complex in Úlfarsárdalur east in Reykjavik. The complex will include a football stadium with a capacity of 1.600, with the possibility of increasing that capacity. The stadium, which will meet all the requirements for playing in the Icelandic top division, is expected to be completed in May 2022.
In addition to the main stadium, there will be one synthetic pitch and two grass pitches. The sports complex will also include a multipurpose indoor-arena for handball and basketball and an indoor half-size football field. The latter one is expected to be completed in the summer 2023
Update July 2023: The Framvöllur Úlfarsárdal football stadium is now being completed and the first match was played there 20. June 2022. IBV player Andri Rúnar Bjarnason became the first goal scorer after only two minutes. A massive attendance of 1.722, witnessed a very entertaining match. It was certainly a proper opening party, with great excitement and drama. In the end, the teams shared the points after a 3-3 draw.
